Firsts

Well, Macy had her first day of school this morning.  She was super excited when she woke up and we talked about all the fun things she would do.

A few pics before we ran out the door

About to go in!

Outside her room

Mommy did really good until I pulled out of the parking lot and saw this!
Missed my chatterbox in the car :-)

Back home, Eden and I did a lot of this...

Ready to go meet Daddy for lunch

Josh and I went together to pick up Macy at 1:00.  She was so happy when we got there and looked like she had a great time!  However, as we started to leave, we discovered a major injury!  Josh noticed something in her mouth and asked her to stick out her tongue.  When she did, we saw a hole/gash on her tongue!  It looked awful.  Apparently our tough girl never even cried and ate lunch with no complaints.  We are guessing it happened on the playground.  Her teacher said she got a little whiny going up the stairs but never saw tears or blood.  I'll spare you the picture, but bless her heart, I don't know how she wasn't screaming!  Poor thing:-(  But she still had a great day and tried to tell Mommy all the fun things she did.  I'm so proud of her!

A quick nap before we went to see Dr. B to check on the tongue situation (he said she was a step away from being in the ER with stitches, so we are so thankful!  Apparently the tongue heals very quickly and they try to avoid stitches at all cost)
I noticed her on the monitor with her blanket around her, so I sneaked in to make sure she didn't have it around her neck.  Then, I couldn't resist taking a picture...
Love my Macy girl!

Eden's "first" this week was going to the church nursery on Sunday.  We took her for Sunday School but picked her back up for big church.  We like snuggling her during worship;-)

I also attempted my first skirt this week...
 (sweet little model!)

Pancakes and a Video Chat

Our kiddos are obviously growing up in a very technologically advanced generation.  Macy learned how to unlock my iphone and call people around 16 months!!  One thing she really enjoys doing is Facetime with Daddy.  On days when Josh is actually in the office but he's left before Macy gets up, they like to chat during breakfast.

The Progression of Fingerpainting...

Lexi's new best friend!

Precious Cargo

"School"

Macy is starting Mother's Day Out next week, once a week.  We've been calling it "school" and acting real excited about it!  Yesterday, I had a parent meeting and open house for Macy to meet her teachers.  LOVE them!  Their little room was decorated so cute and I could tell her teachers really enjoyed what they do.  I'm excited for her and anticipate her learning all sorts of new things!

Ready to leave the house

The kids went on to the rooms with their teachers while we had a quick meeting.  After the meeting, we were able to spend some time with them in the classroom and talk to the teachers.
I am so thankful Macy's buddy, Logan, is in her class!  The two of them walked in together holding hands; wish we could have taken a picture, but Mariann and I had our hands full with their school supplies and siblings.  They are going to have a blast together :-)

I loved seeing her name all over the classroom :-)
She's too young to be embarrassed by her mom taking pictures of everything right!?!

Tuesday will be our first official day!  Hope Mommy does ok ;-)

Mobile Love

Macy turned 6 weeks old on Christmas day and her gift from Santa that first Christmas was a mobile for her bed.  I taped her laying in her bed the first time she saw it moving.  A few weeks ago, I got the mobile back out and put it on Eden's crib.  When I recorded her the first time, her reaction reminded me so much of Macy's.  I went back and edited their two videos together.  Macy is first with the brown crib, then Eden in the white crib (I had to paste Eden's videos together because I was running back and forth trying to help Macy fingerpaint in the kitchen).  So sweet!  Love their little excitement even at such an early age.
