Galveston Day 2

Macy woke me up about 7:15 on Thursday, so we got up together and started the cinnamon rolls and coffee.  Everyone was up and going by 8:00 and after breakfast we headed back to the pool!

Drying off...

After a sandwich lunch, we changed the kiddos and got them ready for naps.  Aaron and Josh were going to play golf this afternoon and Kristyn and I were riding along.  Pops and Grammy held down the fort while everyone napped.

Eden and Bryce playing a little bit...

Telling the kiddos bye...

It was such a treat to get to ride along with Josh on the golf course!  We haven't done this since I was pregnant with Macy.  The course was beautiful and we enjoyed the afternoon together:-)

I saw this pink bird on the golf course and just had to get a picture of it for the girls...

We got back to the condo around 4:30 and got started on making fajitas for dinner.  After dinner, we packed up all our sand toys and headed back down to the beach.

Macy was determined to get her bucket to dump the castle correctly...

Daddy and Eden got started on a castle that ended up being an elaborate group effort...

Macy, very creatively, decided to put sea shells on her castle...

Aunt Kristyn brought kites for the kids so we took a break from the sandcastle to fly kites.  They loved this!
She brought a Cinderella one for Macy; perfect choice:)

I will say that this also gets them very tired:-)

Eden's was Barbie, but her little sensitive eyes had such a hard time watching it...

So, we got out her shades...

Back to the castle...

They finished it off by creating a moat and pouring in water...

So fun!  We headed back for showers and bedtime.  We never had any trouble getting them to go to sleep!

Galveston Day 1

On Wednesday, July 17th, we headed to Galveston with my family.  We met my brother and his family for lunch in Conroe and got to Galveston around 2:00.  This is our 3rd year to go, so we've got a system now:-)  We stop at a Wal-Mart on Seawall Blvd to get all our groceries for the week before driving out to our condo in Point West.

Uncle Aaron grilled hamburgers for us and we went ahead and ate around 5:00 so we could head to the pool for a bit.

Love this pic of Mace.  Total abandon!  Macy girl really improved on her swimming the week we were in Galveston.  By Saturday, she was swimming under water without her floatie.

After the pool, we headed down to the beach for a bit before bedtime.

All Macy wanted to do was play in the sand!  We brought their sand toys with us the rest of the week and they had a blast building sand castles.

Checking out the water...
Eden loved it all as well.  She would sit in the water and let the waves come up and hit her.  Then she would just cackle; thought it was the neatest thing:-)

After a full day of travel, swimming and beach, we had some sleepy little ones!  Just like last year, Macy slept in our room, Bryce slept in Aaron and Kristyn's, Cason slept in Pops and Grammy's and Eden slept in Pops and Grammy's closet.
