Galveston Day 4

Saturday morning, we eased Eden into breakfast (see Galveston Day 3) and she continued to act like she felt fine.  So, we got our suits on and drove to a different pool across the street.  The kids ended up really enjoying this pool.  It had a 1 foot little area that they loved running and playing in; especially Eden.  It also had a little lazy river and then a big pool that Macy continued to practice her swimming in.  We were so proud of her!

We tried to do an earlier lunch and nap time this day because we were going to drive into town for dinner.  Eden was still a little puny from being sick and Pops rocked her to sleep for her afternoon nap (this is a rare thing!  She's such a "lay me down and let me be" baby when it comes to sleep)

After naps, we actually put on make-up, fixed our hair somewhat, and put real clothes on to go to dinner!

At Gaido's eating dinner...

When we got back, we went back to the beach for one more night and stayed out past sunset.

Another sand castle endeavor

Sweet girl started telling Mommy, "I want my pajamas on.  I want my paci.  I want my bed..."

The next morning, we ate a quick breakfast, loaded up and hit the road!  Such a fun trip that we look forward to each year!

Galveston Day 3

Friday morning I woke up early (I had been fighting a sinus infection since before we left and had a hard time sleeping).  So I enjoyed some quiet time and coffee before everyone started stirring.  Aunt Kristyn made breakfast burritos and we did our usual breakfast routine then suited up for the pool.

Swimming is hard!!

We went back to the condo for lunch then laid the kids down for naps.  When they got up we decided to take them back to the pool for a little bit while Pops and Grammy got dinner going.  Unfortunately, right as I got Eden out of the pool and dried off, she got sick.... a lot.  So, I rushed back to the condo with her, got her bathed and cleaned up, and waited to see what exactly we were dealing with.  We held off on food, but while the rest of us were eating dinner, she got sick again.  And again while everyone else was getting ready to go to the beach.  So Pops stayed behind with me and Eden while everyone else went back to the beach with all their sand gear.  They were going to stay out a little later this night and crab hunt after dark.

When Eden finally went almost 45 minutes without getting sick, I laid her down and, surprisingly, she slept all night and woke up happy and back to normal the next morning.  We had moved her bed into our room anticipating a long night, but we were so thankful she slept.

Josh and Macy came back a little earlier than the boys after their crab hunting adventure and Macy went right to sleep.

I felt so bad for Eden girl, but I'm thankful the bug seemed to get through her quickly:/

Obviously, not as many pictures this day...
