Kate-isms

I wish I could remember all the funny things Kate says and does, but they're are too many to count!  She is such a ham.

*She still copies every single thing the big girls do.  And if they say something she doesn't understand, she just mumbles something as close as she can to what she heard them say.  But she copies their mannerisms exactly!

*She likes for everyone to have their belongings.  If she finds random things around the house, she will bring them to the person they belong to.

*She's also very generous.  If she hears one of the girls say they want a snack, she will go to the pantry and bring them something out of the snack bucket.  Or she will share with them something she's eating.

*She calls her bellybutton "boo-button"

*She knows all her basic colors now and likes to be quizzed on them.

*She appears to be very orderly and she likes throwing trash away and putting things up around the house.

*She's really coordinated and can kick well.  She dribbles a soccer ball all the way across the backyard.

*She wants to be the one to hand you something.  If she hears me say, "Where's my phone?" she will yell "I GET IT!" and run through the house to find it.  Then she presents it to me proudly.  She's also pretty good about remembering where things are when I ask.

*She likes peeking her head around a corner and saying "I see you, Mommy!"

*When Eden is reading through her sight words, she gets the flashcards and pretends to read the words as well.

*She can count to at least 10 and sometimes she goes higher

*If Lucy gets fussy in the car she will sing "Jesus Loves Me" to her or say "Shh Shh Shh.."

*She gave up her paci's but she loves holding Lucy's!  She doesn't try to put them in her mouth, she just wants to be the one to put it in Lucy's.

*She still likes blowing her nose and will help herself to some toilet paper and then flush it when she's done.  She likes flushing.  She also continues to use the potty periodically and we will probably train this summer.

*Her favorite song is "Jesus Loves Me" and she requests us to sing it every night when laying her down.  She calls it "Jesus -Oves Me, tis I -oh". (This I know)

*She still likes to rock with Mommy and Daddy

*She likes carrying bags on her shoulder like a purse.

*She can tell me when things hurt now.  She says "My tummy -urts.  My foot -urts. Etc."  She also tells me when she's about to make a diaper and then wants to be changed immediately.

*She loves Kallie and Selah and will just pat them and say "Hi" continually.

*She is fast!  We may have another athlete like Macy on our hands.

*She loves the puppy and is the main one who feeds her everyday.  After she puts a scoop in her bowl, she starts calling for her. "Puppy!! -ome" (come on)

*The puppy sometimes gets in trouble for having accidents or getting into the trash and Josh or I will say "Dog!"  Kate has picked up on this and will sometimes walk by Lexi and say "-ogg!"

*She still does not like to sit!  She will squat in a highchair or sit on her knees in a booth, but she refuses to sit on her bottom.  That has been her thing.

*She loves taking pictures with our phones.

*She loves singing with Mommy in the car.  She doesn't even have to know the song, she just sings anything and sways her head back and forth.

*One of her favorite phrases is "I -OLD IT!!" (I hold it) Which she says adamantly ;)
