We left for Great Wolf Lodge Sunday after church to spend a few days with our girls. The last time we went, I was pregnant with Sadie, and Macy and Eden were 3 and 2. They were able to do so much more this time!
Leaving town
Macy rigged Kate's headphones with a diaper
We checked in around 3:30, fed Lucy, suited up, and headed down to the waterpark. It was pretty crowded Sunday night but Monday and Tuesday were a lot better.
This sweet girl is such a trooper and so go-with-the-flow. Never even knew she was there.
Snuggling Daddy
Even with all the fun slides, the girls still said the wave pool was their favorite...
Playing with Kate in the baby area...
It was definitely a team effort considering we have 2 that can ride all the slides and 2 that couldn't. Josh and I just traded off a lot. We were both able to do the big slides with the big girls, which was fun for me since I'm usually pregnant and can't!
Leaving Sunday night
We cleaned up, fed Lucy again and headed downstairs to eat dinner in one of their restaurants.
Trying on their ears...
After our late dinner, we ran the girls through the shower and started the bedtime process. Since the room had this little "clubhouse" for kids, I decided to let Kate try to sleep in a big girl bed. There were bunk beds and then a twin bed across from them. I took all the bedding off and put on a twin fitted sheet and bed rail I brought. She was excited. So excited that it took until almost 11:00 for her to fall asleep! She was still up and down long after the big girls fell asleep. She would push buttons on the noise box, go through the girls purses on their little night stand, and even brought me Eden's socks at one point. When she did finally fall asleep, she slept all night, thank goodness! The second night it only took until 10:00 ๐
We slept a little later Monday morning then got dressed for the waterpark before running downstairs to eat at the breakfast buffet. After breakfast I fed Lucy one more time then we headed to the waterpark.
We ran into Violet in the lobby
We started at the wave pool again...
Kate would struggle every now and then when Mommy or Daddy would leave to do slides with the big girls. Look at that face...
I took Kate and Lucy upstairs around 12:30 to clean up and feed Lucy. Josh and the big girls brought a pizza to the room around 1:30. After we ate, I had scheduled appointments for the big girls at the Scoops Kids Spa. Josh stayed in the room while Kate and Lucy slept. He got some sweet Kate snuggles :)
Love doing fun girl things together!
We grabbed Mommy and Daddy some coffee at Starbucks and took Daddy his. Since Kate was still asleep, I took the big girls down to the arcade.
Josh brought Kate and Lucy downstairs when Kate woke up and we took Kate to the spa to do what they call the "Sprinkled Experience". They gave her a tiara and sash; put lip gloss and lotion on; and sprayed some perfume in her hair. It was so cute.
I fed Lucy then we headed to Grapevine Mills mall to eat at the Rainforest Cafe.
Can't remember what Kate got upset about here...
We got back to the hotel in time to grab some ice cream and then head to Story Time in the lobby. They had a little dance party before it started which Eden and Kate were all about.
Tuesday morning, Josh and Kate ran downstairs to get coffee and breakfast and the girls ate on the balcony.
Then we headed back to the waterpark for one last day. We stayed until around noon then went upstairs to change, pack and check out.
We headed home around 1:00 and stopped at a Chick-fil-A to eat. It was such a fun trip! Love doing things like this with the girls. ๐
