We had another great trip to Beavers Bend. The girls just love it and we enjoy some sweet time away as a family. It's a great time to unplug and relax.
The 2 little ones helped Mommy pack while the big ones were at school...
We picked them up early from school and headed out!
They crashed on the way
Grocery shopping when we arrived
It was on this trip last year that I fell and landed flat on my tummy, 7 months pregnant with Lucy. I was standing just a few feet from where that happened and was praising the Lord for this healthy baby girl on THIS side of me!
The first night we picked up a frozen pizza at the grocery store
Then played some games and puzzles
Friday morning we made chocolate chip pancakes then the 3 big ones started exploring outside our cabin...
They came in around lunch and I made Mexican stack up. Then we laid the two little ones down and worked on our puzzle some.
This one...
That afternoon, the girls worked on building a fort...
Kate came out when she woke up
We watched this huge spider the whole weekend. One morning we came out and he had caught a walking stick in his web!
They also did a little hot tub time...
Then Josh grilled hamburgers and we had smores and hot chocolate
And bubbles!
Kate was such a big girl and slept in this king bed in the second bedroom. She never got up and slept great! I was so proud of her.
Saturday, we packed a lunch and headed to the state park. We had some friends let us borrow their carrier for Kate...
We rode the train again like last year
Then played at a play ground and ate lunch
Then we went on a hike. We were gone for over an hour and the girls really did great. This was probably one of our favorite things.
She crashed pretty soon and slept until the end
Headed back to the cabin
We cleaned up then headed to dinner that night at a pizza place
We stopped at a few souvenir shops on the way back to the cabin then called it a night. The next morning, we packed up and headed home!
Sweet EJ and KK helping with Lucy :)
