For our fall family trip this year, we decided to travel farther and head to Ruidoso, New Mexico. We were also approaching Sadie's 5 year and thought it would be the perfect time to get away. We had some friends who had stayed in a cabin there and heard it was beautiful. We were also curious to see how the girls would handle the 12 hour trip! They really surprised us and did great. Especially considering Macy started throwing up around midnight the night before we left. Our alarms were set to go off at 4:00 AM to leave! She was a trooper and we made it to Ruidoso around 6:00 that evening.
We hiked, went shopping in this quant little downtown area, found some fun restaurants (like one that let the girls roll out their own dough), cooked some at the cabin, hot tub time, a little school work, and lots of down time. It was such a sweet trip.
The girls missed Donuts with Dad at school on Thursday, so I told them I would make donuts on the trip :)
