6 Months

Little Bit turned 6 months old on the 20th but since it was so close to Christmas, we didn't go in for her well check until the end of last week.

Don't know why I always schedule well checks during nap time!

She got another great report and we are once again thankful for our healthy baby girl.  After 4 shots (she got the flu shot also!) we had a pretty fussy and sensitive baby, but who can blame her!  My legs would be tender too!

Eden, at 6 months you are:

  • 13 lbs 12 oz - 9th %
  • 25.2 in - 26%
  • in size two diapers
  • in size 1 shoes
  • in size 3-6 months
  • still on Prevacid twice a day for reflux
  • on all formula now (Mommy had a stomach bug around Thanksgiving and it messed us up! :(
  • so sensitive!  If sister accidentally bumps into you, you'll look at us and cry!  Wants sympathy:)
  • sleeping on your side or tummy (we stopped swaddling around 5.5 months and now you just move all over your bed)
  • not crazy about your paci (this was about the time Macy dropped hers)  You will take it but you don't have to have it to fall asleep.
  • sleeping in your own room now!  We moved you on December 11 and the first night you slept 9:30-7 without making a peep.  If you made a peep, we didn't hear you because we were SO tired!!
  • laid in your bed to go to sleep
  • discovering your bows and headbands and will pull them down to your mouth
  • staring at your hands.  They're fascinating!
  • playing with your feet
  • sitting unsupported for a few seconds but sits great with the Boppy
  • laughs all the time!  You have the sweetest little giggle and I just love it.
  • know your mommy and daddy and will give us the biggest smiles and giggles!
  • have your hands in your mouth all the time
  • loving your jumper - it's your favorite toy right now
  • about to start solids
  • finally on a dependable schedule!!  From 4-5.5 months you were so unpredictable and inconsistent so I am very thankful we have finally figured it out (for the time being!)  You still eat 5 times a day and your daily schedule is like this:
bottle when you wake up
not a great morning napper; usually just catnaps in carseat or in bed for about an hour
bottle at 10:30
sometimes another catnap in here
bottle at 1:45
nap 2-5
bottle and cereal at 5:30
bottle at 8:45
sleep 9PM - 7ish

My favorite thing is that I've finally got your nap overlapping with sisters!  She sleeps 1:30-4:30ish and I give you your afternoon bottle right after I lay her down.

new toy for Christmas

Love my cereal!  Keep it comin'!

I could eat you up little girl!  You are still so sweet and such a cuddle baby.  I love snuggling with you and kissing those sweet cheeks!
