Macy's been 3 for a few months now, but we just made it in for her well check a few weeks ago. I had scheduled her 3 year with Eden's 18 month in December and then we completely forgot about our appointment and had to go mid-January.
Macy-girl is now 28.4 lbs (19th%) and 36.3 in (23rd%). I think those are the highest percentiles she's been since birth! She really has hit a growth spurt, especially in height. We told her now that she's reached 36 inches, she'll be able to ride the "bigger" rides at the fair and Six Flags:)
Macy still naps every afternoon, between 2-3 hours. I think this girl is so busy and active when she's awake, that she will keep napping for a while! (We hope at least!)
She still sleeps with Piglet, Mickey and Hello Kitty. Piglet is still her baby and lately she has gotten even more imaginative with her "mothering". She has started making voices for Piglet. For example, we will be in the car and all of sudden she will just start fake crying. When we ask her about it, she says it's Piglet. Another new thing is Piglet's birthday. Every few days it's Piglet's birthday and we plan a party:)
Her favorite thing to do right now is dress-up and act like a princess! Her favorite dress is her Sleeping Beauty one and lately it's the only one she wears. She loves to pretend that she's going to the Princess Ball. I think this came from the new Disney JR show "Sofia the First" (which she loves!) If you've seen Sofia, you know she has a step-sister named Amber. Well, Macy began telling people that Eden was her step-sister. This we corrected very quickly!
She tells her Daddy that he's a Prince and she's a Princess and they dance together:)
She told me one day that she has one big foot and one little foot:)
She has been very aware of the house building process and knows that we are moving. We bought her new bedroom furniture and she told me "Don't buy anything for Eden. I want her to sleep in my new bed with me." She asks for this all the time! Eden is finally old enough to play pretty well with her, but we told Macy she's not quite old enough to sleep together yet. But one day soon!
She says things like "absolutely" and "Oh I see..." Honestly, we never know what's going to come out of her mouth!
I still see that tender heart in her which I love. She is very sympathetic to Mommy when I have a headache and will even come lay her hand on my head and look at me with these sad little eyes.
She LOVES spending time with her friends right now and she talks about them all the time. She also "talks" to them on her play phone constantly. She's learned the phrase "best friend" and she will list friends and cousins and say "they're my BEST friend!"
This girl has my heart! Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and I LOVE seeing her get excited about things. It is so easy to tell when she doesn't feel well, because we are so accustomed to her being such a fireball. At the slightest drop of energy, we suspect something's wrong.
Love her to pieces!
By the end of the day, her hair is usually so crazy that we just pull it up in a messy bun...
She is so used to Mommy sitting her and Eden on the fireplace for pictures so she did the same thing with her babies. Then I asked her to get in the picture with them so Mommy could take one... :)
Bedtime hugs for Daddy...
She loves her sewing machine!
Ready for church
Picture from church. She said it's her and Gavin. I asked her that night who all she played with. She said "Gavin." "Anyone else" "Nope. Just Gavin."
Showing off her new boots
It is an everyday occurrence to find a picture on one of our nightstands that she colored for us. Making pictures for other people is one of her favorite things to do.
