6 Months

Another month has snuck by and Kit-Kat is halfway to a year!?  Just crazy how fast we are flying through these monthly mile-markers.

Big girl!

At 6 months, Kate is 12 pounds 7 ounces (2nd%) and 25 inches (15th%)  She went from being our biggest up until this point, to our smallest! Macy was 12.14 and 24 1/4 in.  Eden was 13.12 and 25.2 in.

Still in size 1 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.  Sweet itty-bitty!

We had one more summer trip last weekend, so I was waiting to start fruits and veggies when we got home.  She started with green beans and loves them (so far!)

Her current schedule is:

wake between 7:30-8:00, nurse and cereal

If we are home, she naps from 9:30-11:30ish.

Nurses and eats cereal again

Then she usually stays up for a while and starts acting sleepy again around 2:00

I nurse her and lay her down and she sleeps until 5:00ish

She nurses and eats her veggie around 5:30-6:00

Starts getting sleepy around 8:30 and she nurses and lays down for the night

After we went through a few days of transition from the little sleeper in our room to her crib, she has been an all-star sleeper.  And she is a bed baby just like the other girls.  It's difficult if we are out and she gets sleepy because she gets so restless to hold.  She still sleeps with a paci (or 2 or 3 thrown in there for good measure!) and her baby Marie.  She is laid down to go to sleep although every now and then she will let me rock her ;-)

She doesn't seem as motivated to move as I remember Macy was.  She will roll some when laid down, but she's still pretty content laying on her playmat.  Macy would be from one side of the room to the other in about 3.7 seconds.

She loves her excersaucer and her jumper.  She's also sitting in highchairs now when we go out to eat and can sit on the floor unsupported for a few seconds.  Everything about her is making her seem older!  She has great coordination and loves grabbing things, especially hair (still!)  We've also reached the point where she has discovered her headband and pulls them down… sad day!

Macy and Eden can still make her cackle and she's still very ticklish.  I love her little giggle!

She still has her hands in her mouth almost all the time and flashes big gummy smiles at anyone who gives her attention.

Kit-Kat loves her mommy and is still very much a mommy's girl.  However, Daddy is a very close second and she loves playing with his beard.  We've done the experiment where Daddy tries to take her from Mommy when she's hungry, sleepy or fussy and she sticks that lip out and looks at him like "you have lost your mind." ;-)

She is just sweetness with a bow on!  I love her to pieces.  Thanking the Lord daily for this sweet gift that was prayed for by so many!  She is a precious blessing.
