Christmas Eve night we got together with the Gentry's!
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is Papa reading the Christmas story to the grandkids. Each year, as they've gotten older, they've been able to participate more. This year, Nana assigned each of the older ones a verse that they were to memorize. As Papa came to their verse, they would stand and say it. They each did so good and it was neat to see how excited they were to be a part of the story telling.
Eden checking on Nathan
Macy saying her verse:
"So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, lying in a manger."
Then they each had a piece of the Little People nativity and each one added their piece as Papa recapped the story
All the kids had a new Toto in their stockings!
Eden started to get into this opening thing
Macy telling Grandmother thank you for her new wooden dress-up dolls
Eden got a new baby doll and diaper bag
Macy got a Rangers hat!
And her very own sewing machine from Nana and Papa!
Eden got a bubble mower from Nana and Papa :)
Scarlett sneaking a cookie in the kitchen...
We played a few rounds of Canasta and laid the 3 little ones down. The other 7 did so well playing together with all their new toys.
