Zoo Day!

Monday morning, Macy and I went to the zoo with some friends. The weather was nice and Macy was much more interactive this time compared to the last time we came (it's been a few months!)

She must have worked up an appetite. Back home, she tried digging her Puffs out of her diaper bag.

So thankful for cooler weather and opportunities to get out of the house!

10 Months Old

On Monday the 13th, Macy turned 10 months old! Wow, another fast month and that 1 year mark is quickly approaching.

At 10 months, you are:

• eating 4 times a day
• completely on formula
• holding your bottle
  
• eating mainly table food
• cutting a top tooth (already have your two bottom teeth)
  
• still taking a morning and afternoon nap
• sleeping from 8:30-8:00
• crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything
• hearing the phrase "Do not touch!" about a hundred times a day!
• "talking" all the time
• saying "uh-oh" constantly
• feeding Lexi from your highchair
• pointing at everything (and we think you're trying to say "what's this?")
• in size 3 diapers
• in size 6 months or 6-9 month clothes
• learning new things EVERY day! You can blow kisses, point to your Bible verse in your room, nod "yes" and "no", point to your mouth, and sing. (although no one will ever see these things because you refuse to perform when Mommy and Daddy ask you to!)

You are a little copycat right now and it's amazing what you're able to pick up on. Every phase has been fun, but your personality has blossomed so much over the last month.

This last Sunday, we were able to go visit my music minister, Stacy, and his family from the church I grew up in. He's now ministering at a church in Lufkin and we've wanted to visit them for a while. His wife Missi planned a reunion and we were able to worship with them Sunday morning then head to their house for lunch and fellowship. It was great seeing everyone and remembering all the good times we had!

While we were there, Stacy taught Macy how to sing! It was the cutest thing. I wish I had recorded it then, but I didn't even think about it. So, I pulled out the camera when we got home and asked her to "sing"...

Our Newest Addition

Thank goodness for hotel internet access! I couldn't wait to post pictures of our newest addition. We got the call this morning that my brother and sister-in-law were about to welcome their little boy. My nephew arrived around 3:00 this afternoon and we got to Graham around 6:00. He's precious!!

She did great all day, but got upset when we wouldn't let her hold Bryce! She's reaching for him here and Mommy is playing interference which hurt her feelings deeply! Macy is OBSESSED with baby dolls right now and that's exactly what she thought Bryce was. He was so still; I'm sure he looked just like her baby dolls at home (which she hugs, pats and kisses). She didn't understand why she wasn't allowed to touch!

We're thankful our new little man is here! Cousin #8 for Macy girl!

Peek-a-Boo

Macy plays really well in her pack-n-play IF she can't see me! Which is why I have loved the "screen" that folds down and covers the mesh on the side.

But what do you do when they start doing this...?
