One Last Goodbye

Our closing on the house got delayed about 8 days so we ended up being out of the house sooner than necessary.  But I'm still thankful everything went smoothly with the move and it was almost easier to just get it done quickly.  Closings do tend to jump around though and we are thankful the papers were signed yesterday morning and it's a done deal!

Since closing delayed, we ran over to the house the other night to make sure everything looked okay.  And we took one last family picture out front.  This house wasn't as emotionally hard on me as the Chad Dr. house was, but it still choked me up a bit to walk out the last time.  Just like the Chad house was the house I moved into when we got married and the house we brought Macy home to, this house was Eden's first which does make it special (and of course the two sweet first birthday parties we had there!).  I'm thankful we will be settled (hopefully by Christmas!) in the house that both the girls will know and remember.  And hopefully no more moving!! ;-)

Galveston Day 4

Wednesday morning we woke up, had breakfast, and were packed and ready to go by 9:30.  We were going to stop by Pleasure Pier on our way out of town.

I didn't realize Josh took this picture, but it is classic Eden right now.  She shrieks to get your attention and then stretches her arms out as far as she can towards you to be picked up...

Macy rode the tea cups...

the fire truck...

And a really neat two-story carousel...

She chose the sea horse.  She will ride carousels but she's really not crazy about big animals, even fake ones.  She always picks something besides a horse!

This really was a neat place and the adults even got to ride a rollercoaster!  However, we had to get on the road so we weren't able to stay very long.

And we had some sleepy little ones on our hands!

The last thing we did was the ferris wheel.
Macy and Daddy

Uncle Aaron and Bryce

Me and Cason

We got back into Tyler around 5:30 and picked Lexi up from the kennel.  What a great and relaxing vacation!!  Thank you Grammy and Pops for taking us!  We look forward to making it an annual trip;-)

Galveston Day 3

Tuesday morning, Kristyn cooked breakfast burritos for everyone and we enjoyed drinking coffee out on the balcony again.

Cason checking out our sea shells from the night before...

After breakfast we suited up for the pool!

Snack break from swimming...

We decided to forgo Eden's morning nap but she got sleepy at the pool and Grammy ended up rocking her to sleep...

Playing in the pool...

We had an early lunch out on the balcony again and then went to the beach before naps.  We had planned on going out to eat this night so we wanted to bathe the kids before naps.  This time Eden stayed in the umbrella stroller and played with Pops out of the water.

While the kids were napping, Aaron got us hooked on a new iPhone game called Flow!

After naps we got dressed to go into town for dinner and took a few pics...

We started singing "Happy and you know it CLAP YOUR HANDS"

"Face will surely show it!"

Some pics with Daddy...

This is how Eden kisses...

After dinner we headed back and got the kids down.  We hung out and played Flow some more before bed:-)
