Rangers Game

Last Thursday, Josh had a meeting in Arlington so Macy and I rode up with him. My brother got Rangers tickets for us, so we met them at the game that night.

She did great and stayed awake the whole time!

Gentry Vacation

Last night, we got back from our Gentry family vacation. We were in Dallas from Thursday-Sunday and we had a great time!

Thursday, the guys played golf and the girls shopped on our way to Frisco. We met that night at Pappadeaux (one of our favorite places!) for dinner. After that, we checked into the hotel.

Friday, after breakfast together, we headed to Frisco mall for some shopping and ate lunch at the food court.

Macy enjoyed the Disney store

And she rode the carousel for the first time

After lunch at the mall, we headed over to the new Cowboys Stadium for a guided tour.

Friday night, we ate at Fuddrucker's then headed over to the Gaylord Texan. They have the most family friendly decorations and entertainment as you walk through the large atrium.

Macy fell asleep on the way

The girls got together a few weeks ago and made pillowcase dresses and shorts for the kiddos (thanks to LOTS of help from my sister-in-law, Mandy and my mother-in-law, Charlotte)! They turned out so cute!!

Nana, Papa and the grandkids

I'm pretty sure these girls have a special place in Papa's heart :-)

Macy and Daddy (Macy thought this was hilarious!)

At the Gaylord, we celebrated my birthday

Saturday morning we swam at the hotel and then had some free time that afternoon. Macy took a good nap, then we headed back to the mall.

We ate at Cheesecake Factory and then went to a Frisco Roughrider's game.

She lasted until the bottom of the 4th. Pretty soon after, we walked back over to the hotel to get the kids down. We were HOT!

Sunday, the guys played a round of golf while the girls shopped on our way home. We met for dinner that night in Tyler.

Thanks Nana and Papa for a great trip!

8 months

Macy girl, at 8 months you are:

  • eating four times a day
  • going to bed between 8:30 and 9:00
  • sleeping until 7:30 or 8:00
  • in size 2 diapers
  • can still wear size 3-6 month clothes (you are so tiny!) and 6 months
  • loving your fruits and veggies
  • can feed yourself Puffs
  • waving and trying to say "Bye-Bye"
  • clapping
  • saying "Da-Da", "Ma-Ma-Ma" (learning the letter "M"!), and starting to say "Uh" when you drop something on the floor
  • getting in the crawling position but still not sure what to do then
  • pointing to things
  • likes books and balls - always has to have something in your hand!
  • learning about your mouth - playing with your tongue and spitting (which has become an issue when you are eating your fruits and veggies!)
  • a Daddy's girl, but want Mommy when it's time to go to sleep
  • laughing and giggling at everything! It is so easy to get you cackling:-)
  • teething
Macy girl, you make me smile a million times a day! Just this afternoon, we were sitting on the couch together and I looked over at you and we both just started laughing. You are such a blessing and I'm so thankful you're my little girl. I love you!
~Mommy

Doodlebug, every day is more and more fun than the day before. I love the time I get to spend with you each day; I eat it up! I love you!
~Daddy

Portrait Innovations

We recently had Macy's pictures taken at Portrait Innovations, located by Newks. I just had to brag on them because they did a GREAT job! We've tried a few other places like Penney's and Sears, but I always leave worn out from trying to make her smile. Portrait Innovations had two employees for each photo shoot, one to snap the pictures and one to engage the child. It was so nice to sit back and let them do it. And they got some great pictures! Macy is so busy and I wasn't sure if they even got one with her looking! But this is just a few of what we ended up with...

Josh and I were not planning on being in the pictures (obviously, or I would've matched us better!) but there is no sitting fee so anyone can jump in there. We haven't had a good family picture taken in a while, so we thought we'd try one.
One more thing! They print the pictures for you there, so we left with all we ordered THAT DAY!
