Horseshoe Bay-cation!

Last week, our little family of three headed to Horseshoe Bay for a relaxing week and uninterrupted time together! It was a much needed break and we had a great time. Macy LOVED having Daddy by her side 24/7 :-)

Checking out the hotel Monday afternoon

Tuesday we spent the day at the outlets in San Marcos. A quick picture of the beautiful hill country on our way there...

Wednesday, we just hung out around the hotel and let Macy get both her morning and afternoon nap in the room. The landscaping around the resort was beautiful!

Waving to the parrot

Tried to get a quick family picture...

Macy loves flamingos. They are one of her favorite things at the zoo. She just stares at them and smiles.

Daddy helping her stand like a flamingo

The hotel has this 18 hole putt-putt course with real grass and it was beautiful! Macy had a great time crawling from hole to hole. We gave her a golf ball at the beginning and she never let it out of her sight.

Had to get a picture in front of the pretty fountain!

Thursday morning, we packed up and headed home. Macy watching cartoons while we packed...

It was a wonderful week and we are thankful we got to go!

Fun at Pappy's!

Yesterday morning, we headed to Pappy's Pumpkin Patch with Josh's family. It was such a neat place and the kids had a blast! We got some cute pictures too :-)

Family pic

Hard to believe I was 8 1/2 months pregnant this time last year!

Daddy took her pumpkin away and she's reaching for it :-)

We call this one "7 cousins in a wagon"! (Mallory is holding Gavin)

Macy needed some help from her big boy cousins to remain seated while the wagon was in motion. Here's Jack holding her...

And Grant-man...

We LOVE Piglet!

Almost 27 inches (minus the bow!)

It was a fun morning!

I'm not sure if any of the pictures show the kids shirts very well, but Nana monogrammed pumpkins with their names for all 7 of them. Cute!!

11 Months

Today, Macy is 11 months old!! Last night I started getting busy on her first birthday party plans. (sigh!)

At 11 months, you are:

  • in size 6-9 month clothes
  • in size 2 shoes
  • so close to walking! Walking around furniture and behind your walker
  • standing without holding on to anything
  • signing "please"
  • still napping twice a day
  • still sleeping 8:30-8
  • sleeping with your Piglet
You are a busy girl right now and we just try to keep up with you!!

Warning: Picture Overload!

We have had 2 fun-filled weekends, so I thought I would sum them up in one long post! Life is busy at the Gentry's right now!!

Last Friday, Macy went to Canton for the first time. We went with my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law...

Micah handing Macy her paci. Big helper!

Canton is hard!

One of our Canton finds...

The next morning, Macy and I headed back to the zoo but this time we brought Daddy! Josh hadn't been in a long time and I think he enjoyed it as much as Macy :-)

Fun day!

This weekend, my brother, sister-in-law and two sweet nephews came to visit!

My little Bryce, one month old! Hadn't seen this guy since he was born and I was needing some cuddle time! He is such a sweet, laid back baby.

Grammy is in heaven reading to her babies...

Bryce sleeping....so sweet!

Friday, we went to Palestine to see our grandparents and great-grandmother. We had great visits with them!

Josh and Aaron were going to the Rangers game on Saturday, so we squeezed in a quick Saturday morning trip to the Brookshire's Wildlife Museum. I remember my mom taking Aaron and me here when we were younger. It's a neat place!

Macy on the fire truck. (By the way, this expression pretty much sums up my Macy girl! Fireball!)

She loved the tunnels

Trying out the slide...

Cason and Macy sliding together...

It was a great weekend and it's always hard to see them go. Macy said "Hi Bryce" all weekend and got to "hold" him some today before they left. And she LOVED playing with Cason! I have the cutest video of them crawling around together and I will have to post it later.

Fun, fun times!!
