Eden Update

I feel like there are seasons when the girls seem to grow up faster than others.  Eden has been in one of those seasons!  She is acting so much older and even looking older than she did just a few months ago (mainly thanks to some delayed hair growth!)

Eden continues to be my mini-me.  I see so much of myself in her!  She is more cautious than Macy; it takes her a while to warm up to a new situation.  But when she does, she can be loud and goofy and quite the ham.  She is deathly afraid of bugs (yes, I did that to her)  She will only sleep in her bed and struggles when we travel (again, me)  She prefers her hands and feet to be clean and probably uses more wipes a week than Macy did in a year.  She will even stay away from sticky foods, like honey and syrup.  Macy has definitely proven to be our athletic one; Eden is more musical and dainty.  Basically, she prisses around, uses her hands to talk (elaborately), has the most facial expressions, loves to accessorize, wear lipstick and carry a purse.  She also loves playing with baby dolls and being a little Mommy.

She continues to be our lovey one and will attach herself to one of her uncles, insisting that they tickle her, carry her and basically pay total and complete attention to her.  She has also loved having Mimi close by and I typically have to pull her off to give Mimi a break.

She still sleeps with her baby Roo, puppy and lovey and will nap 2-3 hours a day.  She can miss a nap if she has to, but will typically crash before bedtime.  She likes her sleep.

She's learning how to ride a bike and recognize her letters.  Her personality is a little more laid back than Macy and she's not as driven to teach herself things like my independent eldest.

We've tried big church a few times for a special occasion, but definitely lack the attention span to sit still that long.

She loves watching the Duggars, Veggie Tales and will still request Sound of Music frequently.

I can't get enough of this sweet girl.  She gives the sweetest kisses, hugs and "I love you"s.  I love watching her prance around and even enjoy watching her change clothes a hundred times a day.  She doesn't seem to mind a closet-ful of hand-me-downs, she just genuinely enjoys clothes and picking out what she's going to wear.  She will often times choose shoes to go with an outfit I would've never thought to pick, but love her sense of style!

Love you, EJ!

These pictures go all the way back to April...

Eden got a duplicate birthday gift and went on a date night with Daddy to exchange it.  It cracked me up when she came home with this dress instead of another toy!  That is so her.

Playing with Mimi

Lately, the girls have been making their Sunday School crafts for each other.  Eden excitedly handed this to Macy one Sunday when we picked her up.

Headed to her 3 year well check (a month and a half after turning 3)

We love Dr. B!  We will never take another great report for granted.  Praising Jesus for her health and life!
