9 Months

My little Eden Joy, 9 months old!!  This was always one of our favorite ages with Macy and it has been the same with you.  Your personality just blossoms at this point as you are exploring and figuring things out for yourself.  You are definitely still my sweet and sensitive child; it doesn't take much to hurt your little feelings!

You are 15 pounds 12 ounces (6th%) and 27 inches (31st%).  Still wearing 6-9 month clothes, size 3 diapers and size 1 shoes.  You are also on the same eating and sleeping schedule.

Still no teeth in that gummy little smile!  Dr. B and I both thought we could feel one on the bottom trying to break through but as of right now, you got nothin'!

Trying so hard to crawl but just can't seem to figure it out.  You don't seem to be quite as motivated to move as Macy was, but you are getting up on all fours and acting like something should come from that, it's just not happening yet!

Usually only want your paci at night because you've become quite the talker during the day and don't appreciate it when we try to plug you up!  You are constantly babbling (just like Macy did) and Dr. B said at your 9 month, "Usually the second child is a little quieter!"

You still have the sweetest little chuckle and it doesn't take much to get you going.  Most times just a look your direction will do:-)

You've tried a handful of table foods (bread, tortilla, veggie straws, crackers) and still seem to be a good eater.

Huge on Daddy right now!  You just absolutely light up when you see him and will cry if he walks away from you without picking you up.  It's precious! You also say "Dada" more than anything else.

Holding your own bottle now.

You love your Roo and I think he's going to become your "piglet"

Other than "Dada", you are trying to say "Mamamama" and "Puppy".  The funniest thing you do right now is say "Uh" when you or someone else drops something.  It also means you are intentionally dropping everything we give you right now, looking at it on the floor, then looking at us and saying "UH!" You are so proud when you do this and just start laughing.

Another new trick is spitting which has made meal time rather difficult!  Sister encourages you in this and you both will do it back and forth at each other.  (However, you hate getting your face wiped!)

You enjoy playing on the floor but you still like being held and will begin squealing until someone comes and gets you!  Then you're happy as a lark!

We had a sock casualty this day at Target.  Honestly, shoes and socks don't stand a chance with you.  You move your feet all the time!

We love you, Eden Joy!
