Annual Thanksgiving Shopping Trip

This past weekend we headed to Grapevine for our annual Thanksgiving shopping trip with the Gentry's.

We shopped Grapevine Mills on Friday then met for dinner at Fuddruckers.  After dinner, we headed over to the Gaylord to see all the decorations and take pictures.

Gavin was so attentive to Eden....

Love from the Skaggs' boys...

Macy taking care of Garrett...

These two...

I love how they are all hugging or touching one of their cousins.  They really do love each other...

Papa's girls...

Saturday, we shopped Grapevine Mills some more then headed to the Frisco mall for lunch and more shopping.  We ate pizza that night at Mellow Mushroom.

After breakfast Sunday morning, we walked over to Bass Pro to see Santa and let the kiddos play...

These girls love Aunt Kiki...

Scarlett trying to feed the reindeer...

Our girls are still not Santa fans.  Macy took a picture but would not sit in his lap.  Eden had a look of sheer terror...

Then Santa asked to talk to us for a few minutes...

The last thing we did was ride the carousel...

We headed over to Forney for lunch and made it home around 3:30.  It was a good weekend; the girls enjoy their cousins so much and it was nice to get away.

My precious Sadie-bug,
Words can't express how much I hurt for you.  My heart just broke when I saw the 10 cousins all lined up in their shirts; such a visual reminder of your absence.  I had so looked forward to this trip with you.  I had envisioned wearing you in a new carrier I had bought and had just finished sewing your onesie a few days before we lost you.  Our first official outing as a family of five.  I still can't believe you're not here.  My mind wants to visualize what I would be doing with you each minute of the day.

The Lord continues to be my strength and my song, but the natural longing I have for you to be here and take care of you is so strong and painful.  I trust He will continue to heal my heart.
Missing you.
