Beavers Bend

We picked the girls up from school on Thursday and headed to Beavers Bend for a fun family trip!  It was such a sweet time for our family and we loved it!  We will definitely have to make it an annual trip.

It was dark when we arrived Thursday evening so we didn't get to see much of the outside of the cabin.  When we first arrived in town, we stopped and got some groceries.  The girls were pretty tired and went to sleep quickly.

Breakfast burritos

Some pics of the cabin.  It was so nice and perfect for us.  There were two bedrooms downstairs.  We let Kate sleep in one.

The big girls slept upstairs in the loft on a sleeper sofa.

Friday morning after breakfast we went on a little walk then came back and played around the cabin.  The girls loved playing in the woods.  They spent hours outside exploring!

Found a snail

Relaxing on the porch watching the girls play

We went and ate at a BBQ place for lunch then drove over to the state park to look around a bit.

We headed back to the cabin and laid Kate down for a nap.  The big girls spent some time in the hot tub, which they thought was the funnest thing ever :)

Then they changed and played in the woods around the cabin while we watched from the porch.

Friday night, Josh grilled hamburgers and we ate outside.

Then we started a fire and roasted marshmallows for smores

Saturday morning, we had chocolate chip pancakes and bacon.

We headed back to the state park pretty soon after breakfast and rode the little train.

They did a raffle for a free bag of cotton candy and the girls won

We played at a little playground for a while

Then went on a walk

Kate discovered she was a fan of cotton candy

We found another playground then walked close to the river to take a few pics...

We headed back to the cabin around 12:30 and had leftover hamburgers for lunch.  We laid Kate down for a nap and the big girls did some hot tub time and played outside again most the afternoon.  Josh and I sat by the fire pit while they played.

We came in to rest for a bit and finished the 750 piece New York puzzle we had been working on.  The girls were actually a huge help on this and loved it!

Then we changed and went and ate dinner at a pizza place in town.  We headed back to play some more and drink hot chocolate by the fire.

Kate discovered she was also a fan of hot chocolate :)

We headed back after breakfast Sunday morning.

This trip exceeded our expectations and we made such sweet memories as a family!  So thankful we were able to go.  The girls said Oklahoma was better than Disney World! ;)
