9 Months

This sweet girl!  She is so much fun right now.  So playful and starting to show more personality, but still tiny enough to cuddle and rock like an infant!  Makes my heart happy.

She is so laid back and go with the flow.  On trips, you rarely know she's there.  She loves her car seat and is pretty content to still be shuffled around in it.  She is mobile now, so holding her has gotten a little more difficult now that she knows there's a whole new world waiting for her.

She has yet to break 13 pounds!  I had measured her on our scale at home and she was close... 12 lbs 14 oz.  But at her 9 month well check they measured her at 12 lbs 11 oz.  She is creating her own little growth curve but Dr. B is not concerned.  She is just made tiny :)

She's starting to feed herself and loves turkey, bread, crackers, bananas, avocados, tortillas, and cheese.  She also still does baby food and nurses 4 times a day.

Her new words are -uh-oh, da-da, mmmm-ma, and bye-bye.  She has started putting her hand up to her mouth like she's blowing kisses.

Her favorite thing to do is pull movies and books off the playroom shelves and crawl into the big girls' room to their dollhouse.  She really just likes being wherever the action is.  The true baby of the family!  And she thinks the big girls are so funny!  She cackles at whatever they are doing.  She really has been their real life baby doll and they just tote her around everywhere.  Eden especially loves carrying her around and looks like such a natural little momma with her propped on her hip.  Reminds me of me at her age!

The months are going fast and we are just trying to hang on!  But we are cherishing and enjoying each new stage and the sweet addition Lucy has been to our family.  She is so precious.  We call her Lucy Bear because she literally wraps her arms and legs around you when you pick her up like a little bear cub.  She's a sweet gift!  We love you, Lucy Lavelle!
