Two Year Stats

Macy girl, at two years old you are:

  • 23.2 lbs - 9th%
  • 33.75 in - 51st%
  • in size 5 shoe
  • doing great at using the potty!  You rarely have accidents; you nap in your panties and wake up with a dry pull-up almost every morning.  So proud of you!
  • loving school and playing with your friends
  • talking in full-blown conversations and using new words everyday!
  • really imitating whatever Mommy is doing
  • loving your sister!  You can actually hold her now all by yourself and you are so sweet and gentle with her.  You're also possessive and if someone even looks at her, you say "That's my sister!"
  • Favorite activities/toys right now: your vacuum and you love cleaning things with a wet wipe.  You walk around the house wiping everything down.
Some of my favorite Macy-isms right now:
  • you say your favorite color is orange and apparently you've decided that Eden's favorite color is blue
  • you run to Mommy but cry for Piglet when you get hurt
  • If you take your pillowcase off you tell me: "Mommy, I took the wrapper off.  Put it back on!"
  • We had to get the sad spoon one morning (I keep it in the kitchen) and when I went to get it, I sat you down on the island.  You stopped crying, said "It's in the top drawer" then started crying again when I pulled it out
  • Anytime you're away from sister, you say "I miss Ian!"
  • You and Daddy are charting the moon this month and making a calendar.  He takes you outside to look at it each night and last week you said so enthusiastically "It's getting bigger and bigger!!"
  • You love running into our closet and telling us what shirt to wear.  I guess my dad has a lot of blue shirts because all of your daddy's blue plaid shirts you say "That's Pops' shirt.  Not Daddy."
  • Every word has one or two extra syllables.  One of my favorites right now is TOY.  You pronounce it Toe-oye-zzz.
  • This is probably a testament to how often we eat out but, you know certain things about different restaurants just by pulling in the parking lot:  Whataburger = Nana and Papa (because we eat with them every Saturday); places like Schlotzky's and Salsaritas you immediately start asking for your cookie because you know it comes with your kids meal; McAlisters = applesauce
  • When Mommy is chewing gum you will say repeatedly: "Blow bubble Mommy.  Blow bubble.  Right now Mommy!"
  • Anytime you get hurt now you ask for ice.  You had something in your eye the other day and you said: "Need some ice, Mommy.  It -urts."
  • You "baby" Piglet all day and will change his diaper, feed him in Eden's highchair, rock him, put him in the bouncy seat or swing and turn on the music, etc.  It is the cutest thing.  I love listening to you.  Whenever Daddy and I would change one of your dirty diapers (and now Eden's) we say "Shoo-wee, Eden!"  I overhear you saying it to Piglet!  "Shoo-wee, Piglet!  That stinky!"
  • You played with pine cones at school a few weeks ago and the other day I got out some granola to eat.  You immediately asked for some and when you held it in your hand you said "It's a pine cone Mommy".  I thought that was so clever!  I guess granola does look and feel like a miniature pine cone:-)
  • You have this big plastic lipstick that came with your play purse and I've told you a hundred times that it is lipstick.  BUT, you refuse to believe me and say that it's juice for Piglet!  And now, anytime we go in the car with Piglet, you ask me "where's Piglet's juice, Mommy.  He thirsty."
  • You say "I want you" when you want to be held
  • You've started calling me Mama instead of Mommy.  I have no idea where it came from!!
  • If you hear a wrapper opening, you immediately start saying "I want some!"
You are one entertaining little girl!!

Visiting Mimi

Daddy came home from work one day with a new ORANGE soccer ball!

Your new favorite reading spot

Precious Wal-mart pajamas that shrink to two sizes smaller!  You still love your "Princess jammies" though:-)

  1. I laughed out loud at the macy-ism and at the pajamas that shrank - hahahaha!

Hannah pronounces things with a few extra syllables, too and we've wondered where she's gotten such a country accent - I guess she picked it up from Macy ;)
