Saturday night we decided to make resurrection rolls with the girls as we prepared to worship our risen Savior Sunday morning! Macy is really starting to comprehend more and more about the Word and it's neat to hear her recall stories, especially the cross and resurrection.
The girls each dipped their own marshmallow and we talked about how Jesus' body was prepared for burial then placed in the tomb.
After they came out of the oven and cooled, I gave the girls their roll and told them to see what was inside.
Macy was amazed and slightly disappointed because she said she really wanted to eat the marshmallow! But, I think it was a neat picture of Easter and it helped Macy understand more of what happened. Eden didn't check her tomb, she just dug right in! Maybe next year... :)
